The Drug Holding Company Participated in the Fifth International Conference of Scientific Research and it's applications, the conference was organized by Cairo University from 21st  to 24th December at the Conference Center of the University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hany Helal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research . the conference targeted research promoting and supporting partnership between the university and the production sectors in the community and linking scientific research to national issues.

The conference included more than 40 scientific sessions and workshops in the sectors of medicine, engineering, agriculture, basic science and humanity, and themes such as modern methods of scientific research and future sciences , and planning and management of scientific research, and the role of scientific research  .

The modern trends in scientific research took a large share of the Conference, especially the biological sciences and advanced research applications of new laser science and nanotechnology.

the final recommendations of the Conference stresses on the need to establish a special law for stalled projects or re-consider the bankruptcy law to keep pace with contemporary developments and the need for diversification of energy sources, especially renewable, with the application of systems rationalization, and the need for expanding the application of medical laser and encourage research in new applications, especially in treatment of cancerous tumors, as recommended by the Conference the establishment and expansion of organ transplantation units such as the liver and bone marrow to cover the increasing number of liver disease and blood diseases, as well as the organization between each of the faculties of medicine, physiotherapy, nursing, psychological and social sections, to add to what serves the interest of the elderly.
