. Dr.Ashraf Al-Sharqawi, Minister of Public Business Sector, received Ambassador of the Republic of India, Sanjay Patacharya, in the presence of a number of embassy officials and Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, President of the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving and Garments.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways of cooperation available between India and Egypt, especially in the field of spinning and weaving, for the development and restructuring of the spinning and weaving factories of the Holding Company.
The minister also discussed in a press release on Monday the possibilities that the Indian side may offer to the various insurance companies of Egypt Holding Insurance Company, one of the companies of the Ministry of Public Works Sector, in the field of developing the information infrastructure system of its subsidiaries.
The Minister also discussed with the Indian Ambassador the possibility of benefiting from the arrival of the Republic of India in the manufacture of pharmaceutical raw materials and ways of cooperation with the Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals and Medical Supplies and its subsidiaries.
They also discussed the possibility of establishing new joint ventures between the Egyptian and Indian sides, increasing trade exchange and benefiting from the various means of financing which the Indian side can provide for restructuring and development projects in the public sector companies, in preparation for the visit of the Indian Minister of Communications to Egypt next month, Cooperation in the transfer of modern technology to public sector companies.
