The government represented by the Drug Holding Company , the Arab Company for Medical appliances and the Arab International Bank approached to finalize the operational procedures for the establishment of the first factory in the Middle East for the production of veterinary vaccines and vaccines of avian flu and swine flu that will begin in production by 2011.
Participating partners reached a final agreement specifying that the Drug Holding Company and the Arab Company for Medical appliances will have the largest share in the factory to be established in 6th October with an investment cost of up to 100 million pounds, according to our source ,the negotiations has been going on for several months .. According to the source it is expected that the volume of production reach one billion doses per year in the early stages to increase in later stages. It's scheduled to begin the project in the production of bird flu vaccine in the first phase and those of swine flu in the second phase with the shareholders bear the full funding of the project cost, which will be created on a 10 thousand square meters.
On the other hand Dr Adel Khattab the Minister of Health councilor for respiratory diseases sent a relieving message to the parents who fear that their children vaccinated against the virus (H1N1) strain of swine flu in the campaign, which begins next Sunday , he said that the vaccine is safe .

Margaret Chan, General Director of the World Health Organization Said: it is not expected to eliminate the virus (H1 N1) strain of swine flu in 2011 and it is not the time to say we are passing the peak of flu infection (H1N1) as winter is still long.
